Well, as most of you know, I recently started classes this semester. I am taking two wonderful classes; web design and digital photography. I bought my first digital SLR camera the Nikon D60 and I have been given a first assignment to do a self-portrait. Aside from being very confused as to all the ins and outs of this very sophisticated camera, I have taken a few shots that I want to share. In class, we will be working with Photoshop CS3 and Bridge to work in greyscale and work on making the images look their best. This is just my beginning of the project, but I wanted to post the photos, as it has been a long time since I have posted any photos. I have just been so busy. I hope you like what I have so far for the project.

Hey, good luck with the class. The best part of digital photography is that you can sit there in a comfortable chair sipping a coffee. No more hunching over trays of smelly chemicals in a dark room. OK, I’ll spare you the entire grumpy old man speech LOL.

Very nice, especially the second set. I got a D80 about a year ago, and I have yet to figure out most of the more advanced features. But Nikon makes great cameras, and I’m sure you’ll love it.

The photograph with your hands on your shoulders speaks volumes. It is very feminine and at the same time conveys strength.
